Gillian obtained her DA in Drawing & Painting from Glasgow School of Art and since the late 70's has lived in mid Argyll, from where she gains much of the inspiration for her landscapes. Working with gouache, she uses the medium to capture the impact of light on water, through glass and its effect on colour, whether it be in land/seascape, still life with flowers or even her hens in the garden.
